Thelen Family Recipe
Ingredients:
1 (15lb) Butterball Turkey
2 tbsp Dried Ground Rosemary
2 tbsp Lemon Pepper
2 tbsp Dried Parsley
2 tbsp Dried Thyme
1 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Dried Sage
1 tsp Cinnamon
2 stalks Celery, chopped
1 Onion, Chopped
1 Carrot, Chopped
1 Can (14oz) Chicken Broth
2 Clementines peeled and wedged
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350, line your turkey roaster with enough foil to cover. If using a foil roaster, use just enough to cover and seal. Place the turkey in the roaster....Don't forget to remove the Neck and Giblets from the turkey 😋
Combine Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Lemon Pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
Rub the dry mixture inside of the turkey, then place the celery, Clementines, onion, and carrot inside.
Pour chicken broth over the top of the turkey then take cinnamon and rub it into the top.
Cover with foil and seal
Bake for 2 1/2-3 hours until no longer pink at the bone. Uncover turkey and continue to bae until skin turns a golden brown. Remove and let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
