I absolutely hate cleaning my ceiling fans. I always have to get a ladder and figure out how to balance a bowl of cleaning solution and a rag while trying not to fall. I'm sure many of my readers can relate to this situation. So when I got the opportunity to try the Estilo Ceiling Fan Duster I was so excited!
When I received my package in the mail I immediately opened it up and put it together for use. It was so simple to assemble, all I had to do was put the pole pieces together and add the duster to the end.
The duster end is pretty thick and has a hole in the middle that fits around the fan blade perfectly. The fibers on the duster grab the dust thoroughly and brush it off of the fan blade. My fans had just been cleaned about a month ago and I couldn't believe how much dust came off when cleaning it with the duster.
Once I was finished cleaning the blades, I got up on my trusty ladder just to check how well it had cleaned the blades. It did not clean it as well as a cleaning solution and a rag would do but for a dry cloth it did a pretty darn good job! There was very little left on the fan blades!
I really appreciate how well this is made and how long I was able to extend the pole. I have high ceilings so this makes it much safer and much easier for me to clean my fan blades. I also like that I don't have to just use it on the fan. I can also reach up to the crown molding and high corners to be able to dust out the cobwebs and dust that have gathered there as well.
After I was finished dusting the fans and molding I placed it under lukewarm water to wash out the dust. If it's really nasty I use a little clothes detergent to wash out some of the caked in dirt and then let it dry.
Storing is easy! I just hung it up in the pantry where I keep the broom and mop. If you don't have a place to hang it, it can also easily be stuck in a corner behind a door.
I really like the Estilo Ceiling Fan Duster! I think it's easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to store and so much safer than getting up on a ladder to clean the fans in my house! I would recommend this to anyone!
