I received this product for free for my review!

There has been a lot of talk about identity theft and the process the thieves take in order to get your precious information. With new technologies it has become even easier for these people to take what they want, anytime, anywhere.

The latest device being used is a machine that can read your credit card information without you even taking your cards out of your wallet. Next thing you know, your bank account is drained and you have mountains of newly purchased debt.

66% of consumers are hit with identity theft every year, and that number is growing. Who is most likely to get hit? Believe it or not college students ages 20-29 and children under the age of 19.

Many companies are offering theft protection but how much does that truly help someone? It's a long drawn out process with much needed documentation. So what does that person do in the process?

There are products out on the market now that say they can stop these machines from grabbing your information. Wallets made with blocking material and sleeves to put your cards in. So which product do you choose without breaking the bank to protect yourself?

I received the RFID Blocking Sleeves to try out, and here is what I thought!
I received two sleeves and was able to choose the pattern I wanted from a mixture of six designs. The designs, I feel are geared more towards the feminine aspect and think there should be more of a variety for the male consumers.

The sleeves look like what you might receive a gift card in. This makes it easy to store in your purse and they are easy to carry. The inside of the sleeve reminded me of the material placed in the microwave meals. That metal looking cardboard that helps to insulate and direct the heat to the food you are cooking. This gives me the perfect idea of how the material actually works in reflecting that identity stealing machines away from the information stored on your card. I know it sounds like a crazy way to explain it but was the best comparison I could think of to better understand the concept.

The durability of the sleeves seem to be great! I haven't had an issue with them tearing or bending on me when using them.

The pros definitely outweigh the cons for this product. I truly feel that they will work protecting my assets, they are small and easy to use, and I love the designs. The only con I could think of was is I feel that the company should make these sleeves designed for the male consumer as well.

So if your looking for something small with a huge impact in saving your precious identity, then I would highly recommend the RFID blocking sleeves. I have been extremely impressed with mine!

  2. Care about less, care about freedom. Great post as usual! Also I'd add my two cents on accessories. Think about a minimalist slim wallet. Nothing ruins the lines of a suit or blazer and makes you look more like a doofus than when your pockets are crammed with stuff - a wallet, a cell phone, keys, a calculator, a calendar, pens, etc. I favor Kisetsu wallets, the classic bifold reinvented a feature-packed Premium minimalist wallet made with Full Grain Nappa Leather and RFID protection. How about you?
